A stellar experience like no other
T_R
, May 2022
Helpful and prompt communication within moments of booking, was more than prepared to collect from my hotel (no other operator was).
Jerzy is affable, warm and approachable, with that innate ability to actually share the experience with you as a companion rather than come across a ‘tour guide’. He has a passion for the area, and particularly the First Nation presence in it, something which he shared by detailing various aspects of their history, movements, and current status.
Courteous and conscientious, checking in on weather reports and reviewing how it may affect the day’s plans.
Although being a first time vistor to Canada, I’d heard of the lakes in the Banff National Park and beyond but nothing quite prepares you for being there, particularly at the time of year where snow was still covering the peaks, forests and a great deal of the car parks too (Jerzy will know exactly what I mean)! I even got to get my paleo-rock investigation skills on when we got to the Parkway; never have I been somewhere so fitting of the description ‘haunting beauty’. We ended up covering some 450 miles in one day, which is a figure someone from the UK doesn’t experience very often!
If I had the ability to upload images of some of the stunning sights we encountered together I would, but perhaps that’ll only encourage those of you reading this review to discover those first hand for yourselves!
Response from Host , May 2022
It was real fun watching you when you performed your " paleo-rock investigation skills" at the Columbia Icefields. Always great to see when the traveler has the opportunity to directly get involved and do their own investigation or research when visiting park areas. Thank you for the review and the stars!
Absolutely wonderful experience of the Icefields Parkway!

This tour of the Icefields Parkway and Banff National Park is truly a once in a lifetime experience, and Jerzy was an amazingly knowledgeable, passionate and kind guide for the same.
Jerzy showed us all the prominent sites on the Icefields Parkway - Bow Lake, Peyto Lake, Columbia Icefield and more. He not only had loads of information on each of the sites, but knew the best photo spots and trails for some amateur hiking as well. Jerzy was also extremely accommodating, as he also showed us Lake Minnewanka (we had not been able to see it earlier), got us hiking gear and clicked several professional photographs with his DSLR. All this coupled with his passion and enthusiasm really made the trip special.
The entire drive was magnificent and extremely scenic (rated amongst the Top 5 drives in the world by NatGeo) and I truly believe that a trip to Banff would be incomplete without visiting the Icefields Parkway. I highly recommend this tour with Jerzy to anyone visiting Banff National Park.
Response from Host , May 2022
Lake Minnewanka possesses a spirit all its own; one that’s as unique, enigmatic, and captivating as its own arcane history. Historically, Banff area region was the Mountain Cree traditional hunting territory and was originally name Peechee Lake after Chief Alexis Piche Bobtail, chief of the Mountain Cree. He was a respected leader, warrior and guide whose family were seasonal residents of the area of Lake Minnewanka. It would be sad if you would never seen this lake when visiting Canadian Rockies. Thank you for great review!
Fantastic day out

We had a fantastic day out to the ice fields and part of Jasper National park, even though it was snowing for part of the journey it was made really great because of the driver’s Jerzy knowledge of the whole area, and his flexibility we saw so many fantastic views and scenes, especially as there was just the two of us with Jerzy in his jeep, plenty of room in the front but limited leg room in the back, I couldn’t stretch my legs out I am 5 foot 6 inches. But a small price to pay for a fantastic day out and value for money. Would recommend.
Enjoy at your own pace guided through Banff National Park and beyond

There's so much to see and one day is not enough. I'll have to come back to see other areas as well. Jerzy knows a lot about the area and really showed me places that will never be covered by tour companies. We started early to get away from crowds in some areas and also managed getting away from rain and snow that was following us. I also learnt a lot about the history of Banff National park and how it
all started.
Do not pass this opportunity up, it is the best tour of Banff National Park!

If I could rate Jerzy’s tour 100 starts out of 100 - I would. If you’re planning a trip to Banff then you MUST book this.
We (Jerzy, another guest, and myself) set out around 9am, and were dropped off close to 8pm, meaning we had 11 hours of exploration, great conversation, and of course, taking in the sheer wonder of Banff National Park.
Put simply, on this tour, you won’t be crammed into a minibus with 50 other people, battling for wifi and space, with a tour guide who most likely is so bored of it by now, all they want is to get it over and done with. Instead, with Jerzy, you will have the best tour experience you could ever ask for due to the comfort of the journey, conservation, and mutual appreciation of going “off the beaten path”.
Regarding the National Park, it’s true that you will just have to see it for yourself to believe the enormity and beauty of it all. With Jerzy, in addition to the “major sites”, such as Lake Louise, you will venture off and explore other, perhaps less well known areas of the park, where you will experience a quiet setting to take it all in.
In short, don’t hesitate, book with Jerzy!

This sounds like you had a cool experience. Thanks for the review. The last part of this tour is one of the most beautiful places in Banff National Park (in my humble opinion). This area definitely needs to be accessed in 4WD car with winter tires and I am always excited and prepared to drive to this area. I am glad to keep you comfortable and safe while exploring the landscape. Come back anytime and I'd love to offer you another memorable experience!
Jerzy is the best tour guide

This is our 1st time visit in Banff national parks and Jerzy the guy in a picture made sure that we enjoy our stay and our trip/tour. He was very helpful and we never felt rushed. Our 1st booking was canceled by the 1st tour guide named Jay without our permission. But our second package who is by Jerzy’s company was very fun and memorable. Please book Jerzy in your next visit. 100/10

I am truly pleased to read your review. When I saw the booking at 23.15 pm, my first thoughts were...the car was very dirty because I just returned from a private tour but then I thought I had enough time in the morning to wash the car and pick you up.
Responsible Travel is what guides my philosophy and I believe everyone belongs on an adventure and in adventure. I am glad you been able to see this one of the most beautiful part of the world...as we all agreed on the end of the tour that... this is "50 Switzerland in one place"

We perform checks on reviews
You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site.

Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.
On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.
You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted.
If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period.
The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We’re always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
