Experience the beautiful New England Fall landscape

It was a wonderful trip start to finish. Starting out with driving around Boston to the various hotels and picking up all our fellow leaf peepers who as a whole turned out to be all ver pleasant and friendly companions on this trip. Matt our driver was great, not only was he a wonderful driver he was entertaining and informative about Boston and on all the areas we drove through on our way up to the white mountains. Although near the end of the season Matt was able to take us to numerous locations where we could still get a glimpse of the exploding fall colors and the incredible beauty and landscape of the white mountains. We had a wonderful lunch in North Conway between our visits to waterfalls and bubbling streams and rivers . All in all it was a splendid and exhilarating experience, a comfortable and relaxing drive, and a marvelous day.

My photos look like i was backpacking in the wilderness. We went to beautiful spots that our guide knew about that required just a little walking. We also made plenty of pit stops and food stops. The whole day thru NH was great, even with lots of driving in a very nice van. The cost was worth it and i haven’t heard of another tour like it. I was so glad to be picked up and dropped off at my hotel too. What a nice outing from Boston.

The foliage was fantastic. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. My biggest problem was the vehicle we toured in. It was a 15 passenger van and every seat was taken. It was very cramped.

Beautiful Scenery and a Knowledgeable Guide

We were impressed by the beautiful scenery throughout this trip. Matt did a great job of "scoping out" the best fall foliage for the earliest New Hampshire tour he offered when the foliage was not yet at peak. Matt offered excellent, informative commentary throughout the day. We had ample time to stop and take in beautiful views and short, easy hikes. The lunch stop was long enough to have a leisurely mile (although it would be advisable for the company to have done research on the establishments that were closed that day before recommending them). Matt was also fairly understanding and accommodating of the needs of my mobility restricted companion. My only complaint was that Matt seemed to be "delighted" when we entered New Hampshire and Covid restrictions were relaxed and did not enforce mask wearing on the coach contrary to the information when I booked the tour. I also was quite nervous on the return trip when he drove way over the speed limit in very heavy traffic. I would still recommend this trip if you aren't concerned about Covid and aren't a "nervous Nellie" passenger. Matt knows his stuff and was an excellent guide. New Hampshire in the fall is not to be missed.

Small group tour with Matt, a very knowledgeable guide. Loved this tour...breathtakingly gorgeous scenery and don't-miss short easy hikes to see it all. Waterfalls are incredible...but the variety of rich leaf colors is a rare sight worth every penny of this tour.

Foliage Tour worth taking

As "seasoned citizens" we wanted to see the foliage but didn't want to do the driving. The small group on this tour made it feel like we had a personal driver. And Matt filled that role perfectly. He added just enough factual information to make the ride educational but sprinkled in stories of his personal experiences to make the ride fun. We stopped often at Matt-approved sites which didn't disappoint in their scenic beauty. All in all, a wonderful day trip!

Incredible Tour. Definitely worth it. Matt our tour guide knew everything about the area and the most incredible spots for touring fall foliage and for stops along the way. From the waterfalls, to the short hikes in the woods, to picturesque bridges surrounded by foliage, and up to the white mountains, it was much more than we expected. It was an awesome day!

The driver was super friendly and knew all the good spots to take pictures, gave good restaurant recommendations and made enough stops so we were able to stretch our legs. He also gave a good narrative during the trip and neither talked to much or too little. Well worth time and money.

1st Fall Foliage Trip

This was a wonderful experience traveling from Boston to New Hampshire to see the beautiful leaves in the Northeast. Matt was very knowledgeable and a great host for the day. There are many stops that include waterfalls, bridges and of course, leaves. There were 6 of us on this particular tour, which made it nice for asking questions and all of the stops on and off the 14 passenger van.

This was one of the best day trips I’ve ever taken. Matt Hebert is a very knowledgeable tour guide and owner of New England Excursions. I highly recommend the fall foliage day trip as New Hampshire is one of the prettier states and North Conway is a nice town to visit with many good restaurants and places to shop.
