Overview

The Vidden Trail is one of Bergen’s most rewarding day hikes, a mountaintop trail that runs from peak to peak, between Mt Ulriken and Mt Floyen. On this tour, ride the cable car (own expense) to the top of Mt Ulriken and set out on a guided half-day hike along the famous trail. Along the way, admire spectacular views over the mountains and fjords around Bergen, and stop to enjoy a picnic lunch (bring your own) on the mountaintop.

We start from our meeting point in front of visitBergen, take the bus to the gondola/cablecar, takes it up to mt.Ulriken and start to walk a 15 km long hike. From Mt.Fløyen we take the funicular down.

Amazing views every step of the hike!

Our guide, Frank, lead us on the most beautiful hike in the mountains above Bergen. His expertise of outdoor activities and information about Bergen and the surrounding area was so interesting. He brought us Norwegian snacks to try, all delicious! We were sad to leave Bergen and all its activities and beauty.

My husband and I loved hiking the Vidden trail with our guide Frank! The views were spectacular and Frank was very friendly and knowledgeable. We learned so much about the area, and really felt that we were part of the place in a magical way. This tour is not to be missed. Thank you!
