Very disappointing 3-hour dinner cruise?
David-F
, May 2021
We were celebrating my wife's 57th birthday. The buffet was the exact same menu from 2 years prior. The servers served portions as if they were serving toddlers. The servers were very unorganized and very slow. No annoucement was made regarding when to get your food from the server/buffet. Once we were in line an announcement was made after the fact. Just a bunch of servers, waiters, standing around looking and dancing. It was an inconvience to go on an app to order appetizers and alcoholic beverages. The DJ was playing music unfamiliar and/or outdated. After paying over $225+ the dinner cruise ended at 9.20pm not a 3-hour dinner cruise as stated on the website. The photographer took pictures very quickly barely giving you time to adjust your hair, clothes, take your mask and/or coat off etc but she was very effecient when she came around to present her prices.

My wife & I celebrated our anniversary. The experience was the first for her because she was scared to get on boats or ships. She loved it and can’t wait until we go again. The ultimate experience, food was great in the staff was the best.

Loved the shrimp & crab dip!! Wish something similar was included with the tickets in stead of extra. Servers, bartender, manager, & DJ on the 1st deck were all great! Buffet was filling & good. Overall enjoyable experience.

Disappointing

Me and my family were celebrating a few special milestones and because of the weather we had to stay dockside. It was disappointing because the prices were high to purchase tickets but we didn’t want to reschedule because we were celebrating. We made the best out of it but got disappointed. This was my fiancé and son’s first time on a dinner cruise and I wanted them to experience the full dinner cruise but couldn’t. I wish Viator would have at least discounted the prices due to staying dockside. It wasn’t the same.

Ok! not great!

We just went to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I’ll break down my review based on the separate “categories” if you will and a 1-5 rating (5 being best) FOOD: 2/5 I would say the food was a step below Golden Corral or a similar type of buffet. The broccoli was cold, the beef was very fatty and it was served with low grade instant mashed potatoes. The chicken, ziti and deserts were good. The brownies were AMAZING! STAFF: 5/5 The staff was very friendly, courteous and FUN! They even were dancing with the guests. SERVICE: 3/5 You have to order drinks through an app and then they bring them to your table. We experienced long delays on bringing the drinks out. DRINKS: 1/5 Reference the service part above. The drinks were fairly expensive which was to be expected however they weren’t very good. I ordered a mojito and it came with 2 pieces of mint that was not muddled. A friend ordered a woo hoo that came out very syrupy. I would suggest sticking to beer and/or wine. OVERALL: 3/5 This experience was okay but definitely not great. After drinks and the tip on the boat we were all in at about $350 (this includes our ticket prices. And this is for my wife and I.) The whole boat experience was okay but certainly not worth the money in my opinion. For us, I would have much rather went to a very nice restaurant with amazing food, drinks and service.
