Once there, meet your horseback riding guide, who will match you with a horse according to your skills or abilities. You can also get instructions and guidance on how to handle the horse; no horseback riding experience is necessary for this tour. Get comfortable with your horse and the commands before heading out on the trail.

Ride through Arikok National Park and up into the highlands for photo-worthy views of the island. Descend through the sand dunes to the beach, where you'll ride along the shoreline to a natural pool. Spend about half an hour exploring the area and swimming (optional). Climb back on your horse and head back to the stables.

This was an incredible experience - a wonderful horseback rode through gorgeous cacti up to a vista of the entire island, then down to a beautiful beach and one of the most fantastic places my daughter and I have ever been - the 'natural pool.'

Truly unforgettable

This was honestly one of the best experiences we had during our stay on the island. Joshua was such a fantastic conversationalist and his mother was truly a pleasure. Our other guide was named Andres and he was incredibly knowledgeable about the terrain and the animals. If you're on the fence about horseback riding, I cannot recommend this family/company enough. Thank you guys for making our trip unforgettable! Happy travels, Donald and Mallorie Smith

AMAZING horseback ride to see some Aruba nature!!

We visited Aruba in early December 2020 and contemplated several of the advertised tours, but the first on which we could agree was the Horseback Ride and Natural Pool – and it was a very good choice! Starting with the pickup at our hotel by Johan, we found the personnel very informative and helpful – he got us quickly to Rancho Loco, and we soon found ourselves mounted and out on the trail. The ride was on an interesting trail (not surprisingly) away from the island’s residences and over some gentle hills. The guides are experts and the horses well trained, so well trained in fact that they require little management to stay in line and on the trail. The pool is an interesting natural formation, with an arc of craggy boulders provides a break where waves can wash in and freshen the pool, but only with gentle waves. It is a nice, relaxing spot to cool down after a ride in the mid-day sun. The surrounding rock formations are also quite majestic – I am sure that millions of photographs have been taken!! This Tour should be on everyone’s “ToDo” list for Aruba for its uniqueness and interest – a look at a part of Aruba very unlike the white sand beaches and downtown shopping.

Horseback riding in Aruba

This was a ton of fun! You really get to see wild Aruba! The scenery was absolutely incredible and the guides and horses were perfect. The natural pool was a blast. Our guide let us stay as long as we wanted so after a different group left we had it all to ourselves for about 20 minutes. Then they dropped us off at one of the nicest beaches instead of the cruise ship and enjoyed the rest of the day exploring and snorkeling. Highly recommend!

Super Adventure in Aruba

I have been on a couple of horseback tours before. But this is truly the first time when everything went without a hitch. The tour guide was excellent, as well as her helper; the horses were well trained and groomed; and most importantly the views and scenery were simply gorgeous. This is my third time in Aruba and this is tour has been the best experience on the island by far. I definitely recommend the ranch and this tour to anyone looking to spice up the activity list and not afraid to try something different. You will not be disappointed.

Giddy Up

This was a very pleasant horseback ride! The company provides hotel pickup and drop off, as the ranch is basically located mid-island, just outside the National Park. The total length of the ride was 7 miles and is an "in and out" ride. For myself and the group I was with, the duration of the ride was 3 hours, which included about 25 minutes at the Natural Pool for the swim. This trail ride allows some exposure to the National Park and the opportunity to see cacti, rock desert and sandy beaches and dunes. The guides were all very kind and professional. If you like, bring a face mask to the Natural Pool as there are some nice fish that swim in that small alcove. I wore my hiking books and walked barefoot to Natural Pool, which was fine. maybe consider water socks/shoes for the Natural pool, but not necessary.

Memorable time!

One of the best experiences I could have asked for! We were all a little nervous of trying horseback riding, but our guide, David, was patient and kind to us. The horses were matched up perfectly with each of us in our group & the horses were well trained so we had absolutely no issues. This was a beginner experience considering the horses did all the work and didn’t really need much direction. The views were breath taking ! This was a great price for the experience. I would highly recommend!
