Why Travelers Choose This Tour
If you're visiting Amsterdam in the spring, you can't miss the Keukenhof Gardens! This tour makes it easy to get to the gardens and enjoy them at your own pace.
Your Keukenhof Gardens tour starts as you depart Amsterdam by coach for the journey through the countryside of the Netherlands. Admire rolling fields of blooming flowers while learning about the history of the region from your guide.
Upon arrival at Keukenhof, set off on your own, using your provided map of the 79-acre (32-hectare) gardens to explore independently. During your free time, wander along a maze of pathways lined with millions of vibrant tulips. You also spot other springtime blooms like daffodils, bluebells, and hyacinths. Walk past ponds, brooks, and greenhouses, and bring your own picnic lunch or purchase something at the refreshment stand to enjoy amid the flowers (own expense).
When your time at the gardens is up, return by coach to Amsterdam, where your tour ends.
Bonus: your ticket also includes a cruise of Amsterdam's UNESCO-listed canals to use at your leisure.
In May, there is no "carpet" of tulips at the garden - just a few select beds of tulips.
All the farmland was devoid of flowers so no point in taking a cruise.
There was no guided tour of the gardens - the guide just spoke a bit while taking the bus to the site.
Save your money - just take public transit instead of this tour.
The tulips were beautiful and in full bloom.A wonderful place to visit. Enjoyed all the walking. And sitting and having coffee and a snack. I am now painting a watercolor of the tulips. I took many many photos. I loved the colors and the settings.
This was a great way to get to and from Keukenhof gardens. Stress free and comfortable. Our tour guide gave us a few bits of information on the short ride there but once we were at the gardens, we were left to our own devices exploring the grounds. I wish I had gone a week earlier as the tulip fields had already had their flowers removed. The Keukenhof grounds themselves were wonderfully kept however. Highly recommend this trip if you are in the area in the spring.
Our visit to Keukenhof Gardens was easily the highlight of our recent trip to Amsterdam. The tulips were close to peak bloom and we were hit with rows and rows of color at every turn. I have enjoyed making all my friends and co-workers jealous with all the pictures I took that day.
Coming to Amsterdam I felt we should visit the tulip gardens but I was afraid it would be too touristy. I was pleasantly surprised to find the place very well organised to handle the crowds but best of all the gardens are fantastic. Well worth a visit.
While exploring the Kuekonhof tulip gardens was enjoenjoy and exhilarating despitedthe chill, the guided tour was only uptil the gate. The park and itsi pavilions, we had totdo on our own but overall interesting. The booking amount a bit high and the trip can be cheaper if public transport is taken and the tickets booked at Kuekonhof itselfi
