Sam was as excited as we were to be invited into Turkey Embassy. We saw things in the Embassy that was strikingly beauti
It was a great tour. We had a super tour guide - Sam - he absolutely made the two hour tour interesting, engaging, added humor and analysis to present day situations. The details in some of his stories were so cool. I am still talking about what I learned.

Great tour with very knowledgeable guide. Good mix of information related to architecture and design as well as the history of the buildings and their inhabitants. Also a fun neighborhood just to walk around in. Definitely recommend.

The houses/buildings are spectacular and the stories about who lived in them are even better! We are two locals who run through this area all the time and learned so much from our guide. We had our teen nephew with us and he loved it, too. Highly recommend this tour for visitors and Washingtonians!

Dupont Circle and Embassy Row Architecture Tour
Our guy from DC Design tours was educational and enthusiastic and a great storyteller! He kept the whole crowd entertained from our 11 year old to the elders in the crowd. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour if you like history, architecture and some fun facts about DC. It was well worth the money and time!!!!

Great for visitors AND residents! We took my parents and it was a great -socially distant- way to still be a tourist. We loved all the fun facts and the beautiful location. Sam was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

Dupont Circle and Embassy Row Architecture Tour
We figured this would just be another walking tour, but we were surprised. Carolyn regaled us with history, funny stories, little insider tidbits and architectural insights into the buildings we saw. We enjoyed the entire 2 hours and were only sorry that limited mobility of some of the people in the groups made us go so slowly that we didn't cover everything that was promised in the 2 hours. We look forward to doing other DC DesignTours with Carolyn (or her colleague) in the future.

How to Get There

Dupont Circle is formed by the intersection of Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts avenues. However, driving is not recommended due to traffic and limited parking. Instead, take the red line on the Metrorail straight to the conveniently located Dupont Circle stop. If you would rather avoid the hassle of public transportation, opt for a hop-on hop-off bus tour or a tour with pickup and drop-off service from your hotel.
