The museum’s exhibits are divided into nine galleries across several buildings. Explore galleries focused on fishery science, naval architecture and ocean engineering, and the deep sea in the main building. A Kids Exploration Zone is designed specifically for younger children. Movies on topics related to marine science and the oceans play several times a day at the 3-D IMAX Marine Theater while a separate Deep Sea Theater reconstructs a deep sea journey for visitors.

How to Get There
The museum is located in the Zhongzheng District, east of Keelung, by Badouzi Harbor. From Taipei, take the train to Ruifang Station, and then transfer to the Shen’ao Line to Haikeguan Station. From Keelung, take bus No. R66, 103, 791, or 1051 to the museum. Those driving should take Freeway No. 1 to Expressway 62.
When to Get There
The museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays, year-round. The only holiday closure is for Chinese New Years Eve. IMAX films are shown several times a day, and educational programs are held from time to time. In summer and winter, the museum hosts special camps and family events.

A number of parks and scenic areas are located near the museum. Explore centuries-old banyan tree tunnels at Yung Hin Park and dramatic sea cliff landscape at 101 Highland. Walk or bike along the many paths in Chaojing Park, or enjoy views of the sea and Keelung Islet from Badouzi Park.
