Window of the World
The Basics
This attraction lets you travel the globe without jet lag. Besides seeing the miniature monuments, visitors can go Flying Over America from suspended seats in a 3-D cinema, or ride a train, bobsled, or roller coaster. There’s a field where you can try archery, and an indoor ski slope where it’s winter all year. A day at the park usually culminates in a dance performance, complete with synchronized lights and sound.
Things to Know Before You Go
Window of the World is a must-visit for families.
Choose between a basic entrance ticket or an evening ticket for the show only.
Give yourself at least half a day to explore the park.
Don’t forget your camera; the miniatures offer excellent photo ops.
How to Get There
The park is easy to get to from just about anywhere in Shenzhen. Take Metro Line 1 to Window of the World Station. Several buses traveling along the Shennan Highway also stop there.
When to Get There
Window of the World is open daily year-round, with extended hours on public holidays. Avoid visiting during weekends and national holidays, particularly during Lunar New Year and Chinese National Day.
Splendid China
Once you’ve toured the globe at Window of the World, head across the street to Splendid China. This sister park features replicas of monuments and natural wonders throughout China, including the Great Wall, Summer Palace, Forbidden City, and West Lake.
