On arrival you will be seated in the bar, given a welcome drink (local beer, wine or soft drink) and will have a chat to meet and chat with the other guests. We will then sit at large communal tables where the host will give an introduction to the world of Scotch Malt Whisky - a brief history, the regional differences and a brief explanation of the differences between whiskies. We will then taste 6 Single Malts, each from well known, prestigious distilleries - from each of the whisky regions of Scotland. Guests will be given a tasting card and asked to choose from different flavours they might find in each whisky. Don't be intimidated, it's just for fun and is easier than you may think - one recent guest scored 17 out of 18 having never tasted whisky before ! You will also try and identify which region the whiskies come from and then we will finish with a blind nose test. The guest with the best score will win a certificate. You will then use your new found malt whisky knowledge to make your own blend from our whisky lab, a 50ml bottle with a personalised label is included - you will be able to buy more of your blend should you wish. We will finish the experience with tea or coffee and guests will be able to buy extra miniature or full size bottles of their blend as souvenirs or gifts.

Reviews :Stewart is incredibly knowledgeable. He has an almost uncanny way of finding wildlife - probably due to his understanding of the habits and habitats of all the wildlife around. His passions shines through and he is happy to share this with others. Added to that his wife is an amazing cook so enjoy the picnic! Matt Rivers 5 star May 1, 2018 · Cracking day out with Stewart and highly recommend his services, great fun, never seen Golden Eagles in the wild before, even if it was a brief glimpse of them a couple of hundred feet above our head, but that’s nature, can’t tell it when and where to be on request. Also got to see a mother and pup Sea Otter catching and eating a Conger eel amongst lots of other wildlife and then to top the day off got to see a couple of different Pine Martins so all in all a very rewarding day out! (Home made cakes and pasties for lunch was an added bonus)
