San Miguel de Allende Photography Workshop and Tour
Our photography tours have been designed to guide you through the most photogenic locations in the city, often away from the typical tourist trails, while at the same time aiding you in perfecting your photographic skills. Our aim is to help you create a work of art, rather than just taking snapshots on the “program” mode of your camera. These tours are an excellent way of combining a visit through the wonders of San Miguel.
Apart from learning how to navigate quickly around modern DSLR and mirror-less cameras, we will show you how to use your inner eye to create images to be proud of. We will go over various techniques to capture images using light, composition, perspective, selective focus, shadows & highlights and other methods!
The tour is of benefit to semi-professional photographers as well as beginners and advanced amateurs. All of our tours are for individuals, couples and small groups as we believe this makes for a more productive and enjoyable experience.

Since the class is in my private studio, I have collections of materials and tools at their disposal. Because of my background in the arts, both as a teacher an exhibiting artist, I can guide and advise each person personally.

Botanical Cyanotype
CYANOTYPE, from the greek, kyanos = blue, also referred to as "Blueprint”, is the oldest non-silver photographic printing process. It involves exposing materials which have been treated with a solution of potassium ferricyanide and ferric ammonium citrate to a UV light source such as the sun. Natural plants can be printed by blocking UV light from reaching the sensitized material.
In this 3 hour workshop you will learn how to use this camera-less photographic printing technique to make your own botanical cyanotype prints on cotton paper using plants from local sources and the power of the sun.

Tibetan Bowl Singing Bath San Miguel
According to Tibetan philosophies, any alteration in physical, mental or emotional health has to do with an imbalance, with a vibratory decompensation. That is, when certain cells begin to vibrate at a frequency different from the rest of the body, these cells become diseased. Tibetan bowls have been used and are still used to modify the cellular structure by altering its vibration.
