Private tour from Portsmouth: Sandbanks, Studland, Swanage, Corfe and Minstead.

We head to one of the most desirable holiday destinations in the UK: Sandbanks. This beautiful peninsula on England’s south coast is well known for its golden sandy beaches and its laid-back vibe. Studland comes next, this vast area of sandy beaches and heathland is a fascinating mosaic of habitats from heaths to sand dunes. Our third stop is Swanage, a small seaside town in the south east of Dorset, a World Heritage Site on the Isle of Purbeck. Then we will head to Corfe, a village full of history which offers a unique range of independent shops, pubs, restaurants and tea houses. It is well worth a visit!! After a visit to the castle what about relaxing over a cappuccino or a full Dorset cream tea whilst enjoying the stunning scenery of the Purbeck Hills. Finally, a quick stop at Minstead a rambling village which is the last resting place of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Rufus Stone, all Saints Church and the Trusty Servant. Missing you already !!

I have had many years experience working with stained glass. My workshop is in a great location and there are very few of these working mews left in Brighton. I enjoy working closely with people and learning more about them and sharing my knowledge with them.

The Mystery of Southsea's Laughing Sailor: Self-Guided Treasure Hunt

Turn the historic streets of Southsea into an exciting outdoor escape room, with The Mystery of Southsea's Laughing Sailor! According to local legend, in the summer of 1910, a strange character appeared on Southsea Common for the first time, who became an overnight celebrity and a treasured city icon; a mechanical laughing sailor owned by local handyman Quentin Price. However, on one sunny morning as Price was fixing a broken carriage wheel, someone secretly destroyed the machine in a terrible act of vandalism! Why would someone want to silence Southsea’s iconic sailor? Was it a personal grudge against Price? Or did someone grow envious of the machine's huge profits?
