3D Museum of Wonders

Avenida 10, Playa del Carmen

The Basics

Stare in awe at more than 60 drawings that seem to pop off the wall, and become one with the art at the aptly named 3D Museum of Wonders. Owner and artist Keith Wenner once worked for NASA as a graphic artist and was commissioned to draw for the Vatican. Bring a fully-charged camera, as the illusions are only fully revealed in photographs with visitors included in the art.

The 3D Museum of Wonders offers plenty of space for families and groups. Prebook skip-the-line admission tickets to avoid lines, especially in peak season (winter).

I don’t know if I would call it a museum; it’s more of an art gallery. Anyway, we had an awesome time. There’s stickers on the floor to guide you where to get the right pictures. The guide was very helpful by taking pictures for us. Overall it was a great experience.

Our visit to the 3D Museum of Wonders was absolutely breathtaking. We have never experienced anything like it before and was grateful to our guide, Vladimir, for capturing the perfect moments on camera. He walked us through every 3D painting with patience and kindness. It was the perfect end to our vacation in Playa Del Carmen. Already planing our trip back!

We loved this place. Probably the highlight of our Mexico experience this time. Our guide was amazing and took many pictures. We stayed at one of the resorts and they did not have this museum on the excursion list so you need to get a taxi and boldly go but soooooo worth it.
