Having time in the museum before the crowds was great. Also our guide did a fantastic job of engaging the children. Do not miss the George Washington presentation.

We did not wait for the guide and explored in our own time. The museum was incredibly educational and interesting and the audio option added an additional dimension to the experience.

Interesting Artifacts and Knowledgable Staff

We learned a lot at this museum. I especially liked George Washington’s tent because it’s just amazing to me that it’s managed to be preserved after all these years. The staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable. My only complaint is that they would just walk up and start talking to you, which for most people is probably not a big deal. I’m just antisocial. To their credit they did have some interesting things to say and we did have some nice conversation with them. If I could I’d give 4.5 stars instead of just 4

Incredible Experience

One of the best museums we’ve ever been too. Lots of interactive features, the mini theaters throughout were great. We loved getting to see Washington’s War Tent and learning more about the Indigenous people. Also really appreciated the attention to sharing the full stories, including acknowledging the faults and flaws of our country & recognizing the people of color that played an incredibly important but often overlooked role in our history.

A fantastic experience. I am an amateur historian; I was brought to tears several times during my visit. Despite my previous detailed study of twelve years, I learned much more at the Museum of the American Revolution. I cannot thank you enough!

This was one of the best history experiences imaginable. Everything was well done... scope, objectivity, visual presentation and content. We spent 5 hours and got a fuller understanding of the revolution. I strongly recommend the museum for anyone that wants to understand the importance of the seminal period in the history of the USA.
