SR 405 between Range Road & East Avenue SW, Titusville, Florida

The Basics

The campus is made up of several “mission zones,” all accessible with admission. See the Rocket Garden, filled with historic engine replicas and full-size Titan rockets; the Space Shuttle Atlantis; and the Early Space Exploration Hall, where you’ll find hands-on exhibits highlighting the pioneers of spaceflight and the global race to the moon. On-site bus tours depart every 15 minutes and narrate a two-hour route to several launch sites, including those used by the techy space explorers at SpaceX, and the Apollo/Saturn V Center, where you can navigate astronaut artifacts and walk beneath a 363-foot (110-meter) rocket from the Saturn V mission. Visit on a day trip from Orlando, or opt for an Ultimate Space Pass that includes a tour of NASA’s launch headquarters, lunch with an astronaut, two IMAX movies, the Shuttle Launch Experience, and free time to experience the center’s exhibits and galleries.

Kennedy Space Center Adventure With Bonus Walking Tour & Transport From Orlando
Last time we visited the Kennedy Space Center was 25 years ago and lots have changed. We were glad that we had PJ as the tour guide. He was pleasant and accommodating since we had senior people in the group. His advices were spot on and we were able to make use of the time we had since we were not that fast movers anymore. We highly recommend this tour operator.

Viator did an excellent job. Their communication was great, very informative, our driver was accommodating, our vehicle was clean. They were on time for pickup and drop off. My families swamp tour and KSC tours were made better because of the service we received. I would highly recommend!

Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral Admission Ticket
Atlantis was awesome. So was Saturn V. Park was clean. There was a long delay getting on the bus, and tour guides did not speak clearly. The park's computer system wasn't working right and it took a very long time to enter the park. We missed some things because the park closes too early, at 4pm.

Memorable parts of the trip to Kennedy Space Center were the introduction to the tour by Sonia and driver Richie. Then the Space Shuttle ride.

Great experience. Paul, the driver was very knowledgeable. Guided us around to start day so we knew where everything was. Most things were open, no bus tours at Kennedy though. Atlantis shuttle exhibit was amazing. Low attendance due to covid, no waits a great time to go.

Kennedy Space Center and Everglades Airboat Safari from Orlando
The airboat ride was great, the crew member was fun and outgoing, really giving great historical facts of the area, and lots of tidbits about the numerous alligators we saw. NASA was amazing we wished we had more time there! The bus drivers there and back were very nice and accommodating! My 6yo, husband and I very much enjoyed the whole day!

Kennedy Space Center Tour with Guided Walking Tour & Transport from Orlando
We loved the space center experience. The bus trip was long, an hour’s extra stop to drop off a few people for an air boat ride we were unaware of, was an unpleasant surprise.

Kennedy Space Center Adventure With Bonus Walking Tour & Transport From Orlando
This was a fantastic place to visit for a space nut like me. The tour experience and transportation was easy, the guide was knowledgeable and engaging but got out of the way so we could explore and he could go geek out himself. It's great to have somebody as fascinated by the tour as you are. Great experience, highly recommended

How to Get There

The Kennedy Space Center visitor complex is adjacent to the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Titusville, 45 minutes from Orlando by car, on the eastern side of the Intracoastal Waterway. There is no public transit to the center, but several tours include transport to the Space Center from Orlando. There’s plenty of on-site parking, though only multi-day tickets include the cost of parking.

When to Get There

Because there’s so much to do, it’s best to arrive as close to the daily 9am opening time as possible. Closing times vary seasonally between 6pm and 8pm. The center is seldom crowded (except on launch days), but you can avoid large field trip groups by visiting on a weekend.

How to See a Rocket Launch From the Kennedy Space Center

To count down and feel the rumble of lift-off just a few miles away from a real launching rocket, you’ll have to time your visit just right, as only a handful take place each year. The visitor center offers the closest viewing stations for shuttles and rockets blasting off from the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral, and has four designated spots for lawn chairs (some of the spaces require tickets, which typically go on sale two weeks prior to launch).
