The Basics

The Road to Hana connects the towns of Kahului and Hana, hugging the coast for a distance of 64 miles. It’s famous for its difficult driving terrain and spectacular scenery. Highlights along the route include the seven sacred pools of Oheo, the Twin Falls waterfall, the black sand beach at Wai’anapanapa State Park, Honomanu Bay, and the Hana Lava Tube.

Driving along the route can be challenging for more inexperienced drivers, so if you’re not confident or don’t feel like spending an entire day behind the wheel, consider joining a guided full-day tour. For a more glamorous option, you can also get a bird’s eye view on a helicopter tour.

Phenomenal Experience!
We had a great time! So nice to just sit back and enjoy the ride. Our guide, Dell, was fun, informative and we felt totally safe on those tricky roads. We thought we were just going to Hana but instead we got a full tour of the island, so interesting how the island changes so frequently. I would totally recommend this tour group, don’t miss out, just book it!

Hāna and Beyond - Full Circle Rainforest Tour.
Glen was a great knowledgeable driver. Road to Hana was great, our bus was pretty packed with 13 people + Glen, thought it wouldn’t have been that full due to COVID. Wish there were more stops on the journey, basically the highlights were the waterfall and black sand beach. Could have gone without stopping at the fruit stand, was 50 minutes long, would rather have gone to another waterfall or beach. People did get motion sickness in our tour, so be prepared if you come.

Cannot rave enough about Kaili and his tour! The trip was so fun! He is truly a Road to Hana expert. The trip was very well thought out, he called out the clean bathrooms, and he is extremely knowledgeable. Would highly recommend and seek him out for future trips! #teamkaili

Small-Group Road to Hana Luxury Tour with Helicopter Flight return
Our experience is as fantastic. From start to finish the tour was even more than we expected. Our tour guide Scott made everything even more memorable. He was great at engaging everyone, helping with pictures and ensuring everyone’s safety. He really made the trip that much better. Would HIGHLY recommend. The day is broken up nicely with the fantastic helicopter tour on the way back.

Small-Group Road to Hana Luxury Tour with Helicopter Flight return
I feel the lunch area needs to be changed. It's not a very comfortable nor clean area to eat. The tour guides Scott and Mike, pilot was awesome.

Full Circle Reverse - Luxury Road to Hana Tour from West Maui
Doug and his beautiful wife are incredibly knowledgeable about Hawaii. Very professional, on time, clean updated transportation, towels, coffee you name it, they have it. When we stopped at Dougs parents home, which happens to be on the Road to Hana, and we got the banana nut bread!! Yummy. Really great folks.

Maui Luxury Full Circle Road to Hana Waterfalls & Lunch
This was an amazing tour into Hana Valley. Very comfortable with stops every now and then to see beautiful falls and highlight was black sand beach. Beauty of this place is out of the world. Our tour leader Tom was a great host and super safe driver. He gave nice commentary on what was where and best was his safety instructions that were very valuable. Lunch was really good sandwich wigh fruit and Hawaiian drink. Aloha and Mahalo

Road to Hana Day Trip
Kaipo was a fun and laid back guide, made you feel like a local and knew the spots to skip on the road. Got to hear some good stories and stop at some great spots as well as swim in a waterfall.

Kaipo was a great tour guide! He saved the day by retrieving "denvers" cell phone from the falls! Haha Great tour with really awesome people in the tour group as well! Highly recommend... money well spent!

Hana Rainforest Helicopter Flight with Landing from Maui
A great experience overall! Our pilot was knowledgeable and we got to try fresh fruits on the land we landed in! Same as the other tour I did with viator, be prepared to be with some other folks that aren't great at wearing their masks (even now during delta times).
