Must do day-trip!
We really enjoyed this day tour from Zurich to Lucerne & Mt.Titlis. The drive was beautiful and we got to see a ton of storybook towns on the way to Lucerne. We had an hour and a half to explore in Lucerne which was a good amount of time to see the highlights and grab a sandwich. Mt. Titlis was incredible and would highly recommend this to anyone. The gondalas up the mountain were so fun, views were incredible and there were lots of fun activities at the top. Our tour guide was great and she shared lots of good info on the drive as well.

When to Get There

Visit in summer for warm weather, boat cruises in the sun, and green Alpine scenery. In winter, tourist numbers are lower, as are temperatures. Providing you don’t mind wrapping up warm, you can enjoy Christmas markets and views of the snow-covered Swiss Alps. One of the best times to visit is during the annual Fasnacht carnival celebrations, which take place in February or March and feature street parties and parades.
