Cabo San Lucas may be known for its beaches, but the seaside town also offers adventure options that involve more land than sea. The Sierra de la Laguna mountain range, with its abundant oak and pine forests, is a rugged escape for those looking to explore the great outdoors. The Tropic of Cancer dissects the range; in other words, the area is tropical, but its elevation helps keep it relatively cool.

See a national reserve where 70% of the clean water in Los Cabos comes from. We’ll visit the national reserve sierra de la Laguna where we’ll conduct a nature guided hike explaining about the flora and fauna and it’s importance and usage to the ranchero community. Experience how the true natives of Cabo live and learn their ways. The Ranchero Californio is now considered the native of the baja peninsula as a mixed race of the Native tribe and the Spanish settlers. You will learn the ranchero ways on a leather workshop at the rancho where you’ll make your own souvenir on leather work Optional(included in price) Challenge your self on a natural climbing wall or rappel down a 45 feet wall(upon prior request)

Embark on an adventurous mountain hike in one of Baja's more remote areas: the Sierra de La Laguna Biosphere Reserve. Set out from Todos Santos for this full-day trek alongside an expert naturalist who will fill you on the diverse flora and fauna—much of which in endemic to the region—en route. Hike from desert scrub up through verdant oak and pine forests, learning as you go. Your goal is to climb as high and possible before the sun sets, so prior experience is highly recommended.

2-night Luxury Tent Camping in Sierra La Laguna Mountains Near Todos Santos

2-night Luxury Tent Camping in Sierra La Laguna Mountains Near Todos Santos

Camp Cecil de la Sierra is a luxury tent camp in a mango and grapefruit grove in the Sierra La Laguna Biosphere Reserve of Baja California Sur, about 60 minutes from Todos Santos. It is the sister property to our award-winning Camp Cecil on Isla Espiritu Santo in the Sea of Cortez, which means that you can now enjoy luxury tent camping in both the Seas and Sierras of Baja Sur. Camp Cecil de la Sierra is on the property of a local ranching family that we have worked with for over a decade, and the camp highlights both the cultural and natural heritage of the Sierras. The family is an integral part of the experience, providing all the meat, cheese and tortillas for the camp, teaching guests how to make tortillas and cheese in the traditional manner, and acting as guides in the reserve. Great hiking, birding and star-gazing are the main activities, with terrific, home-cooked meals from our traditional ranchero kitchen, and daily happy hour rounding out the experience.
