The Basics

Because El Arco is a natural formation that’s accessible only by water, the only way to get close to it is by boat. Numerous tours leaving from the Cabo San Lucas marina offer various ways to see the arch. Adventurous travelers can opt for a kayaking and snorkeling tour—or parasail over it! Those looking to relax with friends can sail by it on a catamaran or sailboat, or take an evening cruise that includes dinner and drinks.

Great fun boating and snorkeling.
The sailing and snorkeling trip was a super fun experience. Manuel and the crew were super friendly and knowledgeable and made the experience very easeful and accommodating. The food was delicious, getting to see the Arch was special, and the snorkeling stop along the way was great fun too. All in all a great vibe and a wonderful experience.

Private Boat Tour from Cabo San Lucas with Snorkeling Gear 6 pax
Tony! Was amazing and insured us of our safety. I truly enjoyed myself and it was worth it. Because of the pandemic I didn’t want my kids around a group of people so we chose the private route and boy I have zero regrets. The salsa was good the chips were too! I would definitely book again.

Sunset Cruise from Cabo San Lucas
Excellent safety precautions, fun and friendly employees and crew, tasty drinks and snacks, and the best sunset cruise experience in Cabo. Love that it wasn’t with 100 people.

Cabo San Lucas: Private Boat Tour, Snorkel, SUP, and Fun Water Mat
We had the best day! The boat was spacious and clean. Our guide helped the kids to snorkel and find all the cool fish. It was just awesome. We have been to Cabo dozens of times but this is our first time booking with this company and I am looking forward to doing it again very soon! My kids had a blast!!

Glass Bottom Boat Tour to the Arch in Cabo San Lucas
Vaymar was the perfect host! He made sure everyone enjoyed the tour. We ranged in age from 12 to 63, and we all agreed this tour should not be missed. In the weeks leading up to the event, we received detailed updates and helpful information. Thank you for helping us make a great memory!

Cabo San Lucas Marine Park Snorkeling Tour with MANTA
It was a wonderful trip. Baptiste was an excellent guide, pointing out all different variety of fish. He even showed us the resident seahorse. I highly recommend this tour. When trying to find the location, look for senior frogs and turn there.

Things to Know Before You Go

  • A combo tour—including a stop at El Arco, a Cabo San Lucas shopping trip, a tequila tasting, and a snorkeling tour—is a great way to sample a variety of what the Cabo San Lucas area has to offer.

  • Small groups or families can charter a private boat for a more intimate experience.

  • A glass-bottom boat or kayak enables visitors to see the Sea of Cortez marine life in its natural habitat.

  • A sunset cruise is a wonderful way to unwind after a long day of sightseeing on land.

When to Get There

The tropical climate of Los Cabos makes El Arco delightful to explore year-round, but keep in mind that the area is at its busiest around winter (between November and April) and its rainiest in late summer.

Marine Life Around El Arco

Those interested in marine life will enjoy a scuba or snorkeling tour around El Arco. Glass-bottom kayak tours go past colonies of sea lions and plenty of tropical fish on the way to Pelican Rock and Lover’s Beach (Playa del Amor). Larger glass-bottom boat tours explore the history of Los Cabos as passengers enjoy sweeping views of Pelican Rock, El Arco, and Land’s End—where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez.
