Cabo San Lucas Cruise Port
After your ship anchors offshore, it’s about a 10-minute boat trip to the tender dock in the Cabo San Lucas marina. Whether you’re all about nature or looking to party, shore excursions run the gamut. Top activities include snorkeling, kayaking, sunset sails, bar crawls, culinary tours, all-terrain vehicle rides, and more.
There’s also plenty to browse in the streets surrounding the port. Many visitors start at the massive Puerto Paraiso Shopping Mall; another favorite is nearby Luxury Avenue. Or, head to the shops that cluster around open-air Gali Plaza and Plaza Bonita.
Things to Know Before You Go
Book shore excursions in advance to secure your spot on popular outings that may sell out.
Tap water in Cabo San Lucas isn’t safe to drink, so fill up a water bottle before leaving the ship.
How to Get to Cabo San Lucas From the Cabo San Lucas Cruise Port
A short walk from the city center and shopping destinations, the tender dock is located on Finisterra A1 in the Cabo San Lucas marina. The cruise companies provide transport from the cruise ships to the tender dock—check your ship’s tender service schedule. Plenty of taxis (including environmentally friendly bike taxis) are available to get around town.
Many businesses in Cabo San Lucas accept United States dollars, but using Mexican pesos often means a better exchange rate. The official language in Mexico is Spanish.
