The Basics

The Guangdong Museum of Art comprises 12 indoor exhibition halls, covering an area of 86,111 square feet (8,000 square meters), and a 53,820-square-foot (5,000-square-meter) outdoor sculpture garden. In addition to its permanent collection of over 30,000 items and special exhibitions, the museum also organizes the Guangzhou Triennial and the Asia Biennial, which showcases work by international artists on a variety of themes.

Humanities Library of the Guangdong Museum of Art

Located on the second floor of the museum is the Humanities Library of the Guangdong Museum of Art. Jointly established with the Guangdong Provincial Zhongshan Library, the library features art books, documents, and electronic resources covering the arts and humanities. It also contains several libraries within the library, including the Yang Quan Library and the Tsuruta Takeyoshi Library.
