My name is Diego. I have a bachelor's degree in tourism and a master in social studies from the University of Guadalajara. I created this tour to introduce visitors to the history, culture and architecture of Guadalajara, my home city. Walking in the city's historic barrios, plazas and markets, you will discover its unique personality while learning how historical events have shaped its urban and social landscape throughout the centuries. You will also discover Guadalajara's fundamental landmarks, including: 1. The Cathedral and its 4 surrounding plazas 2. Mercado Libertad (the biggest indoor market in Latin America) 3. Chapultepec cultural corridor 4. Colonia Americana By the end of our private walking tour (no groups!), you will have a wider understanding of Guadalajara and Mexico's past and present.

We will know step by step and in a few moments by Bus the Historic Center of Guadalajara from a gastronomic, cultural and historical perspective. Starting with a typical breakfast of the region, we will continue towards the Pitayas park (April and May season) where we will be able to taste a carafe snow with different flavors even outside the pitaya season; to reach our next points such as the Barrio de Mexicalzingo, the two temples and the other points of the route. Just at noon we will taste a snack that we only find in the area. Our next destination is the Cabañas Cultural Institute and the Libertad Market in which, in addition to enjoying its beautiful colors, we will taste one of the many regional dishes. Already rested and satisfied, we will continue visiting the points of the itinerary until we reach the El Santuario neighborhood. As a last point we will arrive at the “Los Famosos Equipales” canteen.
