Speed Boat and Snorkeling Tour Pinel & Tintamarre Islands
This was possibly one of the best tours we have ever taken. We have been to most islands in the Caribbean and this was the last one we had not visited. Our captains Anthony and Gregory were amazing and very informative. Snorkeling at three different stops, lunch and Maho Beach were just some of the highlights. I strongly recommend this tour !!!

Wonderful day with Capt Russell and Giam

Speed Boat and Snorkeling Tour Pinel & Tintamarre Islands
My husband, daughter, and I had a fantastic day cruising around St. Maarten with Robinson Tours, the best excursion of our trip to the Caribbean! Capt Russell and Giam were super friendly, shared a lot of information on St. Maarten, and took us to several absolutely beautiful spots to enjoy both the beaches, water, and sea life including several sea turtles and rays. We were part of a cruise, so Capt Russell ensured we were back to shore with time to get back to our ship. A perfect day, we would most definitely recommend this excursion and would book with Robinson, and Viator, again!

Speed Boat and Snorkeling Tour Pinel & Tintamarre Islands
This was an excellent excursion and well worth the $. Our guide's Brett & Dillon for Robinson Boat Charter were the best, informative but not over talking, great interaction. We started by being picked up at Robinson Boat Charter by the Great Bay, the heading out to the Simpson Bridge, Friars Bay and being able to view the late Steve Jobs yacht. We then headed to Tintamarre Island to snorkel in some of the clearest water around. Next stop was Creole Rock (Bay of Grand Case) for more snorkeling, next stop was the beautiful hidden Yellow Beach on Pinet Island where we had lunch and spent time on the beach and in the water, next was swimming in Baie Rouge and last was watching an incoming 757 fly over our head while on the speed boat by Maho Beach. There was adequate seating in the front and back, plenty of water and photo shots. For those that get nausea the ride can hit some choppy waves. Overall an excellent experience

How to Get There

Pinel Island is just off the west coast of St. Martin, easily accessible by ferry boat, kayak, or paddle board. Take a taxi or drive to French Cul de Sac, just across from the island where you can rent snorkeling gear and watersports equipment. The ferry boats run frequently during the day and take about 5 minutes to reach the islands.

When to Get There

Popular with locals, the island is more crowded on weekends. Visit St. Maarten in the shoulder seasons of spring and fall to find fewer crowds and cheaper rates, with rain less likely. The weather is pleasant year-round, with summer being the hottest. Humpback whales can be observed from February to June.

A Hidden Beach

Walk to the ocean side of Pinel Island to get away from the merrymaking crowds. Follow a path behind Le Karibuni bar that leads up and over the top of the hill to reach a quiet and isolated beach where seashells wash up on the shore.
