The Basics

Although it’s possible to arrive independently, many visitors opt for a round-trip tour from Dublin with transportation and entrance fees included. Guided Causeway excursions, with upgrades for private tours or luxury coaches, often include stops at other nearby attractions such as the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, the Bushmills Distillery, and Dunluce Castle.

Notable formations at the Giant’s Causeway include the Chimney Stacks, Giant's Harp, and Honeycomb, all of which are favorites of visiting photographers. Spot these formations and other stunning views framed by the windswept cliffs on your walk over the columns to the edge of the sea.

Great for solo traveler too!!
First time I went on a tour alone. Had zero expectation at first but Patrick is such a fun guide! His pronunciation is easy on the ears for someone with English as second language. I enjoyed his cringe jokes, stories, and explanations related to every places we visited. Went solo but I never felt bored during the whole trip. I had a blast! Thank you!

Giant's Causeway Premium Day Tour from Belfast (Includes Admissions)
I would highly recommend this trip, we had Amanda who was hilarious and very informative. From explaining how places in NI got there names and what they mean. Lots of photo opportunities. The only downside was the rope bridge is closed due to covid just means I have to come back again. Giant’s Causeway is exceptional breathtaking. My advice wear comfortable shoes and it’s not for the faint hearted.

Guided Day Tour: Giant's Causeway from Belfast
Well organised and our tour guide Jim was excellent. Highlight of the trip was Giants Causeway and had plenty of time to explore. Although some parts of the trip didn’t happen due to Covid still had a great time.

Giant's Causeway Tour from Belfast - Luxury Coach + All Admissions Included
This tour was excellent. We stopped off at various places like the Dark Hedges from Game of Thrones and others. The coastal drive was beautiful and the seaside towns along the way. We stopped at the Giants Causeway and had a guided tour on a beautiful summers day. The coach was air conditioned and spotlessly clean. Great driver and guide too.

Giant's Causeway & Belfast City Day Tour from Dublin
Great day getaway without having to personally drive! It's an early start and long day but worth it. Guide was personable and shared historical tidbits. Giant's Causeway was great, went during low season, little crowds.. Recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes & pack a lunch!

Titanic Belfast Experience,Giant’s Causeway, Dunluce Castle Day Trip from Dublin
The Titanic Museum was wonderful! There is so much history packed into one building. And the Giant's Causeway was more than I could have ever imagined. The additional information provided by our tour guide, Anthony, made the whole tour that much more interesting. Anthony and our driver, Gerry, were wonderful! Ask for them by name!

Giant's Causeway, Dark Hedges & Bushmills Whiskey Tasting tour from Dublin
This was our second trip out to Giants Causeway and Belfast; Kevin our guide was excellent! Made the trip so enjoyable; charming, friendly and funny! Robert, our driver helped us avoid traffic and so we were able to spend more time at the sites we visited! Finn McCools were very easy to work with with rescheduling our tour and I would highly recommend using them for any or all tours in Dublin!! Great experience!

Giants Causeway, Rope Bridge, Carrickfergus Castle and Dark Hedges Tour
It wasn’t clear that a lot is closed because of Covid (which I understand), so I only wish that had been reflected in the description of the tour. But otherwise we still had a great time and got to see a lot!

Irish Folklore

These rock formations get their name from an old legend about Irish warrior Finn McCool and his Scottish rival, Benandonner. Per the tale, McCool built a path across the sea to face his rival, eventually defeating Benandonner by dressing as a baby; Benandonner feared McCool was the child of a giant and didn’t dare to face him. On his way back to Scotland, Benandonner tears up the path behind him, leaving behind only the Giant's Causeway and similar rock formations on the Scottish island of Staffa.
