Madame Tussauds Blackpool Tours

Madame Tussauds Blackpool
Madame Tussauds is a popular visitor attraction all around the world, but Madame Tussauds Blackpool—the only UK branch outside London—grants you an audience with some of Britain’s best-known celebrities. Here you can come face to face with everyone from singer Olly Murs to athlete Mo Farah, and even Queen Elizabeth II.

The Basics
Madame Tussauds Blackpool is split into themed sections, including “Marvel Super Heroes,” featuring comic book and movie characters; “Best of British,” featuring members of the royal family and Dame Helen Mirren, and “Doctor Who,” an immersive experience featuring the 13th Doctor, portrayed by Jodie Whittaker, and the TARDIS. Other British waxwork must-sees include the stars of the dance-competition television series Strictly Come Dancing, England and Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, comedians Morecambe and Wise, and the scientist Professor Brian Cox.

Things to Know Before You Go

  • Madame Tussauds Blackpool is a must-visit for families.
  • Visitors are allowed to touch and interact with the figures.
  • The site can only accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs at one time, so contact them ahead of time to book a slot.
  • There are professional photographers on-site, and you can purchase your photos at the end of your visit.
  • Children under 15 receive discounted admission.

How to Get There

Madame Tussauds is centrally located on Blackpool’s famed Promenade, within easy walking distance of most major hotels and tourist attractions. The Central Pier tram stop is a minute’s walk away, Blackpool North Railway Station is a 20-minute walk away, and bus routes 1, 10, and 11 all stop outside.

When to Get There
Standard opening hours are morning through early evening 7 days a week, and the busiest times tend to be during school holidays and on weekends. It is recommended to give yourself around 2 hours to visit.

Rovers Return
The beloved show Coronation Street is Britain’s longest-running soap opera. At Madame Tussauds, you can take a stroll down the eponymous street, then enter the Rovers Return (Coronation Street’s local pub, scene of much drama through the show’s history) to meet some of the stars, past and present, and enjoy an alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverage.
