Baby Beach, Seroe Colorado

The Basics

Baby Beach is one of the most sought-after spots in the Caribbean paradise of Aruba. Although it’s easy enough to spend a day relaxing on the sand and snorkeling in the Caribbean Sea with a population of angel fish, blowfish, and eels, taking a guided tour offers the addition of informative commentary and exciting touring options. Travelers can explore Aruba on a Land Rover or Jeep adventure that combines a stop at Baby Beach with attractions such as the Seroe Colorado Natural Bridge, California Lighthouse, Arikok National Park, and Ayo and Casibari rock formations, with the added benefit of learning about the island’s history and culture from a tour guide. Many tours include lunch, use of snorkeling equipment, and round-trip transportation from Aruba hotels. Those arriving by cruise ship can book a shore excursion to ensure perfectly timed travel to Baby Beach and other must-see Aruba attractions.

Great tour, excellent tour guide.
My wife and I did the Natural Pool, Baby Beach, and Caves tour while we were in Aruba. Our Guide, Skyler was great! He was knowledgeable, answered questions we had, and was very personable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone thinking of going.

Natural Pool, Caves & Baby Beach Aruba Jeep Adventure Tour
The most memorable part of this excursion was the two tour guides Kenny sharing his wisdom of Aruba and Josh aka booboo, aka the bad boy of Aruba aka the ROOKIE we all got a chance to teach Josh about Aruba. Fun time a lot of laughs and two guys with a great sense of humor. Oh yeah we also saw the caves, natural pool, baby beach. Good tour, great tour guides. “Kenny, Josh ese es Lindo pero……”

Natural Pool, Caves & Baby Beach Aruba Jeep Adventure Tour
“Ken with no Barbie” was a wonderful force of nature on our trip. Our tour, guided by Ken, was exhilarating and awe inspiring. The scenery was breathtaking. Ken’s love of life and love for Aruba set the mood for our day which included a dip in the natural pool, exploring caves and snorkeling. There was also an unexpected “fish pedicure” that was strange and wonderful…I won’t ruin the surprise. I would recommend this adventure to anyone. I am so glad I got to experience it.

Natural Pool, Caves & Baby Beach Aruba Jeep Adventure Tour
Fun and adventurous ride out to the natural pool in Arikok National Park, somewhere you can not go with a regular car, let alone an SUV. It definitely needs to be a Jeep and off road type of vehicle otherwise your vehicle will be destroyed. 2nd stop was the caves where the ancient Indian drawings are and Aruban natives who were on the island over a 150 years ago. Last but not least was the beauty of Baby Beach 🏖🏝 . A nice beach to have a drink and relax in the calm shallow waters.

Baby Beach Day Roundtrip
The shoreline, you can walk out into waist deep water for three or four city blocks. Water is crystal clear. You can snorkel in the deeper side and see many fish! Big mama’s restaurant had the best food!! Our driver, Sonny Tours took great care of us. I would recommend him on this and other tours as well.

How to Get There

The easiest way to visit Baby Beach is on a guided tour, which takes you to Baby Beach’s remote location on far end of Aruba and then back to a more central point, or even back to your hotel. Those traveling independently can rent a car for the 45-minute drive from Palm Beach or take a bus from Oranjestad to San Nicolas, and then either walk or find a taxi to the beach.

Lago Colony History

The nearby area of Seroe Colorado was once known as the Lago Colony, a small town of primarily United States citizens living in Aruba. The colony was mainly supported by the Lago Oil and Transport Company, which operated for 60 years before closing in 1985. Some original houses still remain in the area.
